A study conducted in Sweden showed that we tend to be more sensitive to a tragedy when one of the victims tells the story. And when I say one, I mean just one. Two victims' accounts would be too much for us to pay attention, according to the study. As journalists, we can learn from this research. When it comes to telling stories about big catatrophes, one face is worth more than a million.

To blog or not to blog
I started my own blog about journalism a few years ago. It was called Mashmedia. It was fun, like having your own newspaper. Nowdays, everybody has one. It's not cool anymore. Because of this blogorrhea, I was reluctant to start a new one. But finally, I have given in to the temptation, only after promising myself that I will offer somethig different. Is this possible? Yes. That is why Juanalism comes to existence.
